About The Position
Bar Harbor Bank & Trust is seeking a Customer Service Representative for its Pittsfield, Maine branch. This role serves as the first point of contact for customers, supporting their day-to-day financial needs and building trusted relationships. The position focuses on developing general banking knowledge and mastering routine transactions, including account opening. The opening is full-time at 30 hours per week. Pay is $15.50–$20.00, based on factors including experience, skills, and geographic location, with opportunities for growth and advancement.
Requirements
- Interest and experience in customer service.
- Working knowledge of Windows.
Responsibilities
- Help customers identify their financial needs and recommend additional products and services.
- Recognize opportunities and make referrals for loans, trusts, investments, insurance, and other bank services.
- Develop banking knowledge and contribute to branch goals, including deposit and loan goals.
- Build trusting relationships with people in the communities the bank serves.
- Participate in and advocate for community growth and prosperity.
- Process customer transactions promptly, efficiently, courteously, and professionally.
- Provide exceptional customer service, resolve inquiries effectively, and follow through with customers.
- Master routine banking transactions, including opening accounts.
