About The Position

The Customer Service Representative works as part of a supportive team to provide customer service at a U-Haul center. The role assists customers with U-Haul products and services, manages rentals and inventory using smartphone-based technology, and dispatches and returns equipment. It also involves maintaining, cleaning, and inspecting equipment, as well as moving and connecting trucks and trailers. On-the-job education and ongoing training through U-Haul University are offered. U-Haul advertises paid working interviews, hiring and certification bonuses, and a range of other employee offerings. The position is located at 3500 E Main St, Columbus, Ohio 43213. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.

Requirements

Valid driver's license and ability to maintain a good driving record.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants must be legally authorized to work and must not require employer sponsorship.

Responsibilities

Assist customers inside and outside a U-Haul center with U-Haul products and services.
Use smartphone-based U-Scan technology to manage rentals and inventory.
Move and hook up U-Haul trucks and trailers.
Clean and inspect equipment on the lot, including checking fluid levels.
Answer customer questions and educate customers about products and services.
Prepare rental invoices and accept returned rental equipment.
Install hitches and trailer wiring.
Fill propane; certification is offered through U-Haul upon employment.
Drive a forklift; certification is offered through U-Haul upon employment.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Participate in ongoing U-Haul education through U-Haul University.
