About The Position

This employee communicates with customers to answer questions, resolve problems, determine ongoing and additional product or service needs, and support compliance with physician direction. The role involves handling customer calls, providing education and assistance, maintaining accurate computerized records, and processing customer orders.

Requirements

• High school diploma, General Education Diploma (GED), or one to three months of related experience and/or training.
• Computer entry skills.
• Must meet any licensing requirements necessary for the specific location.
• Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with customers through inbound and outbound manual calls and outbound calls generated by an automated dialer system.
• Assess customer needs for additional products and services.
• Assess customer compliance with physician orders.
• Answer questions and provide customer education regarding products and services.
• Document calls in a computerized record-keeping system.
• Enter customer orders into a computerized system.
• Verify and update customer demographic information, such as addresses and telephone numbers, in computerized records.
• Read and analyze documents such as patient orders.
• Comprehend pharmacy prescription terminology.
• Communicate effectively with coworkers and patients.
• Help train employees.
• Calculate figures and amounts related to frequency and doses dispensed.
• Apply common-sense understanding to carry out oral and written instructions.
