About The Position

Nordstrom Rack is hiring team members for seasonal and regular positions in Sales, Customer Service, Stock, and Fulfillment. Team members work in a fast-paced, high-energy environment, collaborate to create a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere, provide customers with a quick and easy experience, and help keep the store clean and clutter-free. Employees may work in different areas of the store as needed, including sales floors and stockrooms. Candidates can discuss which role interests them during the interview process. Sales and Customer Service team members help keep the sales floor ready through re-merchandising and straightening, assist customers with in-store, online, and mobile transactions, and support fitting room operations. They also sort and return merchandise, organize stockrooms, check in and ticket merchandise accurately, use store technologies, follow operational and asset-protection standards, and promote programs such as Nordstrom Rewards. Stock Support and Fulfillment team members receive and process freight, deliver merchandise to selling departments, fulfill and ship customer orders according to quality standards, and use inventory management systems to scan, process, and research shipments. They also help maintain clean, organized sales floors and stockrooms and provide general store support, including setting up events, organizing backrooms, completing markdowns, and relocating fixtures. The role requires continuous movement for 6–8 hours per shift and frequent bending, twisting, squatting, flexing, reaching, and use of hands. Employees handle bulky or awkwardly shaped items, including lifting items overhead. The standard physical requirements include regularly lifting up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 25 pounds; Stock and Fulfillment roles frequently lift and carry up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds. The listed pay range is $18.20–$18.90 per hour; offers depend on location and job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The position may be eligible for performance-based incentives or bonuses.

Responsibilities

Help keep the sales floor ready through re-merchandising and straightening throughout the day.
Assist customers with transactions across in-store, online, and mobile platforms, including operating a point-of-sale system, bagging items, and handling bulky or heavy items.
Support fitting room operations by greeting and assisting customers and sorting and returning clothing to the sales floor.
Sort and return clothing to help maintain a clean, clutter-free customer experience.
Keep stockrooms organized and ensure merchandise is checked in and accurately ticketed.
Demonstrate expertise in technologies used in the store.
Follow operational, merchandise, and asset-protection standards.
Promote initiatives such as the Nordstrom Rewards program.
Receive and unload freight, unpack merchandise, and deliver newly arrived merchandise to selling departments.
Fulfill customer orders promptly and according to quality standards.
Prepare and ship customer orders according to quality, packing, and shipping standards.
Use inventory management systems to scan, process, and research merchandise shipments in accordance with inventory control processes.
Help maintain clean and organized selling floors and stockrooms.
Provide general store support, including setting up special events, organizing the backroom, completing markdowns, and relocating store fixtures.
