About The Position

The Customer Service Lead (CSL) assists the store management team in providing a distinctive shopping experience and carrying out store operations during scheduled shifts. The role models outstanding customer service and selling skills; allocates staff and resources to keep the sales floor stocked; organizes sales-floor and stock areas; and builds trusted partnerships with painting professionals. When the Store Manager and Assistant Store Manager are absent, the CSL takes full responsibility for store operations. The CSL serves customers in person and by phone, provides product advice, processes transactions, and supports fast, reliable service. The position also involves ongoing learning about the industry, products, and services through the Dunn-Edwards Learning Network and job certification programs. Although no employees report directly to the CSL, the role often serves as shift supervisor during opening and closing and directs store associates during those periods. Opening shifts may start as early as 5:00 a.m., and closing shifts may end as late as 6:30 p.m. Workdays vary by location; some stores are open seven days per week.
