About The Position

The Customer Service Associate models and delivers a distinctive, delightful customer experience. The role registers sales on an assigned cash register and provides courteous, fair, friendly, and efficient checkout service. Associates assist customers with products and services, resolve questions and issues, recommend products, and demonstrate Walgreens customer-service practices. They also support store operations, merchandising, inventory, asset protection, regulated-product compliance, photo services, online order pickup, and store maintenance. The role requires attendance at assigned training and completion of requested learning activities.

Requirements

Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English, except in Puerto Rico.
Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.

Nice To Haves

Six months of experience in a retail environment is preferred.
Prior work experience with Walgreens is preferred.
Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English is preferred, except in Puerto Rico.

Responsibilities

Engage customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services.
Resolve customer issues and answer questions to support a positive customer experience.
Demonstrate customer-service best practices, including courtesy, eye contact, proactive assistance, and helping customers until their needs are met.
Provide courteous, friendly, fast, and efficient service; recommend products, trade-up items, and companion items.
Register purchases, collect cash, provide change, and process voids, returns, rain checks, refunds, and exchanges.
Keep counters and shelves clean and well merchandised; take inventory and maintain records.
Check in and price merchandise as required or as directed by the store manager or shift leader.
Follow asset-protection procedures to identify and minimize profit loss.
Comply with state and local laws concerning regulated products, including alcoholic beverages and tobacco products.
Construct and maintain promotional, seasonal, super-structure, and sale displays; complete resets and revisions as directed.
Separate food items and place products according to applicable policies and procedures.
Rotate consumable stock using first-in, first-out practices and restock out-of-stock items.
Use store systems and equipment.
Provide photo-area customer service, including digital passport photos, poster printing, use of the creative machine, and promotion of photo products.
Monitor Picture Care Plus web pickup orders, select ordered items, and deliver orders to customers when they arrive at the store.
Help maintain clean, neat, orderly interior and exterior store conditions.
Follow company policies and procedures and maintain respectful relationships with coworkers.
Complete special assignments and other tasks as assigned.
Attend training and complete PPLs requested by the manager or assigned by corporate.
