About The Position

Models and delivers a distinctive, delightful customer experience by registering sales on an assigned cash register and providing courteous, fair, friendly, and efficient checkout service. The role supports customer service, store operations, merchandising, asset protection, product compliance, photo services, online order pickup, and store maintenance. The associate also completes assigned training and other duties as directed.

Requirements

Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English, except in Puerto Rico.
Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.

Nice To Haves

Preferably six months of experience in a retail environment.
Preferably prior work experience with Walgreens.
Preferably fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English, except in Puerto Rico.

Responsibilities

Greet customers and patients, offer assistance with products and services, resolve issues, and answer questions.
Model and share customer service best practices, including courteous interactions, proactive assistance, identifying customer needs, and helping customers until satisfied.
Provide courteous, friendly, fast, and efficient service.
Recommend items for sale, trade-up items, and companion products.
Register purchases; collect cash and provide change; process voids, returns, rain checks, refunds, and exchanges.
Keep counters and shelves clean and well merchandised; take inventory and maintain records.
Check in and price merchandise as required or directed.
Implement company asset protection procedures to identify and minimize profit loss.
Comply with state and local laws regarding regulated products, including alcoholic beverages and tobacco products.
Construct and maintain displays, including promotional, seasonal, super-structure, and sale merchandise displays; complete resets and revisions as directed.
Assist with separating food items and placing products according to policies and procedures.
Rotate consumable stock using the first-in, first-out method and restock outs.
Maintain working knowledge of store systems and equipment.
Provide photo-area customer service, including digital passport photos, poster printing, use of the creative machine, and suggestive selling of promotional photo products.
Monitor Picture Care Plus orders, pick items, and deliver web pickup orders to customers when they arrive.
Help maintain a clean, neat, orderly store interior and exterior.
Follow company policies and procedures and maintain respectful relationships with coworkers.
Complete special assignments and other tasks as assigned.
Attend training and complete PPLs requested by the manager or assigned by corporate.
