About The Position

Models and delivers a distinctive, delightful customer experience. Registers sales on an assigned cash register and provides courteous, fair, friendly, and efficient checkout service. The role includes customer service, sales, merchandising, inventory, store maintenance, asset protection, and compliance responsibilities. The associate also supports photo services and web pickup orders, completes assigned training, and performs special assignments as directed.

Requirements

• Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English, except in Puerto Rico.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.

Nice To Haves

• Six months of experience in a retail environment is preferred.
• Prior work experience with Walgreens is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and patients, offer assistance with products and services, resolve issues, and answer questions.
• Model and share customer service best practices, including courteous interpersonal habits and proactive assistance through resolution.
• Provide fast, friendly, and efficient service; recommend products, trade-up items, and companion items.
• Process purchases, collect cash, distribute change, and handle voids, returns, rain checks, refunds, and exchanges.
• Keep counters and shelves clean and well merchandised; take inventory and maintain records.
• Check in and price merchandise as directed.
• Follow asset protection procedures to identify and minimize profit loss.
• Comply with state and local laws regarding regulated products such as alcoholic beverages and tobacco.
• Construct and maintain promotional, seasonal, super-structure, and sale displays; complete resets and revisions as directed.
• Separate food items and place products according to policies and procedures.
• Rotate consumable stock using the first-in, first-out method and restock outs.
• Use store systems and equipment.
• Provide photo-area customer service, including digital passport photos, poster printing, creative machine services, and promotional photo product suggestions.
• Monitor and fill web pickup orders and deliver them to customers when they arrive at the store.
• Help maintain clean, neat, and orderly interior and exterior store conditions.
• Follow company policies and procedures and maintain respectful relationships with coworkers.
• Complete training and assigned PPLs, as well as special assignments and other tasks as directed.
