About The Position

Models and delivers a distinctive, delightful customer experience by providing courteous, fair, friendly, and efficient checkout service. The associate engages customers and patients, offers assistance with products and services, resolves issues, and models customer-service best practices for the team. The role includes operating a cash register; recommending products; processing purchases, returns, refunds, exchanges, and other transactions; maintaining merchandise, displays, inventory, and store records; and supporting asset protection and compliance with laws governing regulated products. The associate helps with merchandising, resets, product placement, stock rotation, and restocking. Additional duties include providing photo-area services, fulfilling web pickup orders, maintaining the store’s appearance, following company policies, completing assigned tasks, and attending required training.

Requirements

Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English, except in Puerto Rico.
Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.

Nice To Haves

Six months of experience in a retail environment is preferred.
Prior work experience with Walgreens is preferred.

Responsibilities

Greet customers and patients, offer assistance with products and services, resolve issues, and support a positive customer experience.
Model customer-service best practices, including courtesy, eye contact, proactively offering help, identifying customer needs, and providing service until satisfied.
Provide courteous, friendly, fast, and efficient service and recommend products, trade-up items, and companion items.
Operate the assigned cash register; process purchases, cash payments, change, voids, returns, rain checks, refunds, and exchanges.
Keep counters and shelves clean and well merchandised; take inventory and maintain records.
Check in and price merchandise as directed by the store manager or shift leader.
Follow asset-protection procedures to identify and minimize profit loss.
Comply with state and local laws concerning regulated products, including alcoholic beverages and tobacco products.
Construct and maintain promotional, seasonal, super-structure, and sale displays; complete resets and revisions as directed.
Separate food items and place products according to applicable policies and procedures.
Assist with consumable-item stock rotation using the first-in, first-out method and restock out-of-stock items.
Use store systems and equipment.
Provide photo-area customer service, including digital passport photos, poster printing, use of the creative machine, and suggestive selling of promotional photo products.
Monitor Picture Care Plus web pickup orders, select requested items, and deliver orders to customers when they arrive at the store.
Help maintain a clean, neat, orderly store interior and exterior.
Follow company policies and procedures and maintain respectful relationships with coworkers.
Complete special assignments and other tasks as assigned.
Attend training and complete PPLs requested by the manager or assigned by corporate.
