About The Position

The Customer Relations Associate performs customer service activities, including greeting and acknowledging customers promptly and in a friendly manner, handling merchandise with care, and providing customers with information and direction. The role supports a pleasant, productive shopping experience by helping customers make buying decisions, recommending products based on their needs, and promoting programs such as CLUB Membership, VOC, and In-Store Pick-up. The associate also handles returns, checks in vendor representatives, secures firearms brought into the store with trigger locks, and performs other assigned duties.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent experience.
• Ability to calculate figures such as discounts and make change for customers.
• Ability to communicate in a friendly and professional manner with customers and other associates.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with Management, coworkers, and customers.
• Ability to operate a computerized Point of Sale register system.

Responsibilities

• Secure all firearms brought into the store with trigger locks.
• Check in vendor representatives, complete visitor log information, and control visitor badges.
• Support world-class customer service and ensure a pleasant and productive shopping experience.
• Greet customers in a friendly and outgoing manner as they enter the store.
• Handle merchandise returns and complete refund or exchange paperwork.
• Sort returns by category and return them to the proper area.
• Sell appropriate Hunting and Fishing Licenses.
• Handle and administer incentive and reward programs.
• Remain knowledgeable about products and advertised sales.
• Keep the work area clean, neat, and well stocked with supplies.
• Follow Company Policies and Procedures.
• Identify and evaluate customer needs, recommend products, and promote programs including CLUB Membership, VOC, and In-Store Pick-up.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
