About The Position

Carvana is hiring Customer Advocates to deliver vehicles to customers and help make the car-buying process more positive. The role involves driving custom car haulers, loading and unloading vehicles, inspecting the hauler, and completing customer paperwork and notes in a tracking system. A commercial driver's license is not required, and training is provided. Team members may pursue certification to operate dual car haulers after 90 days, subject to a clean safe-driving record, training, and a road test. The schedule is 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., with availability required seven days a week. Days off rotate between weekdays and weekend days. The stated work location is ADESA Boston, 63 Western Ave, Framingham, Massachusetts. Starting pay is $24 per hour, with stated increases at three and six months and performance-based opportunities to progress to $26 per hour during the first year. Eligible team members may receive an additional $0.50 increase every 90 days. Certified dual-car-hauler drivers receive a $1-per-hour premium over base pay. Overtime may be available during busy seasons. Applicants must pass a drug test, obtain a DOT Medical Card, be at least 21 years old, hold a valid driver's license, and be able to read, write, speak, and understand English. Candidates must also meet applicable state requirements for access to DMV/title and registration systems. The position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.

Requirements

At least 2 years of customer-facing experience.
At least 21 years of age.
Valid driver's license.
Must pass a drug test and obtain a DOT Medical Card.
Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
Must consistently drive safely and maintain a clean driving record in accordance with Carvana's CMV Driver Qualification policy.
Ability to perform physical tasks, including loading and unloading vehicles and detailing vehicles, in indoor and outdoor conditions, with occasional exposure to inclement or extreme weather.
Ability to walk, stand, and sustain physical activity for extended periods of 8 or more hours.
Ability to reach with arms, twist, kneel, crouch, climb, balance, and squat.
Ability to grasp, carry, lift, push, and pull items weighing up to 50 pounds.
Excellent visual acuity and manual dexterity for frequent driving.
Ability to satisfy state-specific requirements related to access to DMV/title and registration systems.
Must be available to work 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. and seven days a week, with rotating days off between weekdays and weekend days.

Nice To Haves

After 90 days of tenure, drivers with a clean safe-driving record may pursue dual-car-hauler certification by completing training and passing a road test.

Responsibilities

Deliver vehicles to customers using custom car haulers.
