About The Position

Requirements

  • One year as a Clerical Assistant 2 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration)
  • One year of moderately complex clerical experience
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training
  • Willing and able to travel to Harrisburg for a minimum of 6 weeks for training and orientation (paid travel expenses)
  • Able to perform essential job functions
  • Undergo and pass a Fingerprint and Name-Based Criminal History Check prior to employment

Nice To Haves

  • Experience using a PC or laptop
  • Experience using Microsoft computer applications such as Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Experience effectively communicating orally and in writing
  • Experience working in a call center
  • Experience with customer service
  • Bilingual

Responsibilities

  • Respond to inquiries about driver and vehicle services using approved reference materials
  • Explain complex information in simple terms to help customers understand requirements
  • Evaluate customer needs and determine the most appropriate steps to resolve issues
  • Prepare correspondence and process updates to customer records when necessary
  • Recognize potential system or communication issues and alert supervisors when appropriate
  • Maintain a courteous and respectful attitude while representing customer service standards
