In this role, you will provide clerical and office support for licensure application review by the BPOA State Boards of Osteopathic Medicine and Podiatry to ensure licensure operations are conducted in accordance with the laws, regulations, and Board policies and procedures. Requirements

  • One year as a Clerical Assistant 2 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
  • One year of moderately complex clerical experience; or
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training.
  • You must meet the PA residency requirement.
  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.

  • Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, up to 50%, after successful completion of the six-month probationary period. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time. Additional details may be provided during the interview.

Responsibilities

  • Examine licensure, certification, and authorization applications to determine if eligibility should be granted for initial licensure, renewal, and reactivation of existing inactive licenses
  • Evaluate and validate licensure, certification, authorization, and continuing education data for accuracy, completeness, and the presence of all required documents
  • Determines if all licensure requirements on application are met and if an inspection report should be ordered; send requests through appropriate channels; review completed reports
  • Issue licenses, prepare certifications, and distribute notices of discrepancies or approval in accordance with all applicable laws, regulations, and policies
  • Assist with continuing education audits; research and verify licensure records
  • Responds to inbound phone calls and makes outbound phone calls; provide information to applicants and the public through phone, email, and written correspondence

  • Work hours are 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch. Schedule is negotiable.
