About The Position

Keeps buildings clean and orderly and performs heavy cleaning duties in production-floor areas, plant bathrooms, the lunchroom, offices, and common areas. Cleans and sanitizes assigned spaces using designated materials and equipment, following approved procedures and applicable guidelines. The position also involves moving furniture and equipment to clean properly and returning items to their correct placement.

Responsibilities

• Collect and dispose of trash according to approved procedures and infection control plans.
• Dust and damp-mop floors according to approved procedures.
• Move equipment and furniture to clean, then return furniture to its correct placement.
• Clean assigned areas using designated materials and equipment, and sanitize all surfaces.
• Follow the eight-step cleaning procedure.
• Wash walls, windows, furniture, baseboards, and other items to maintain a clean, safe environment for patients, visitors, and staff.
• Identify areas that require cleaning and take initiative to complete the work.
• Complete tasks assigned by the supervisor.
• Perform tasks in accordance with federal, state, and county guidelines.
• Strip, scrub, buff, and refinish floors; shampoo carpet.
• Contribute to the team and exhibit professionalism with customers, fellow employees, and others.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
