About The Position

Core Linen Services is a provider of hospital and hospitality laundry processing services focused on service, quality, and safety. The Custodian keeps buildings clean and orderly and performs heavy cleaning duties in production areas, plant bathrooms, lunchrooms, offices, and common areas. The role includes cleaning and sanitizing surfaces, maintaining floors and carpets, and supporting a clean and safe environment for patients, visitors, and staff. Associates are compensated commensurate with experience. Qualified candidates must be able to perform the essential functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Responsibilities

Collect and dispose of trash according to approved procedures and infection control plans.
Dust and damp mop floors according to approved procedures.
Move equipment and furniture to clean properly and return furniture to its correct placement.
Clean assigned areas using assigned materials and equipment, sanitize surfaces, and follow the eight-step cleaning procedure.
Wash walls, windows, furniture, baseboards, and other items to maintain a clean and safe environment.
Identify areas requiring cleaning and take initiative to complete the work.
Complete tasks assigned by a supervisor.
Perform tasks in accordance with federal, state, and county guidelines.
Strip, scrub, buff, and refinish floors; shampoo carpet.
Contribute to the team and exhibit professionalism with customers, fellow employees, and others.
Perform other duties as assigned.
