About The Position
The Custodian / Janitor keeps buildings clean and orderly, performing heavy cleaning duties such as cleaning floors, washing walls and glass, and removing rubbish. The role works on the custodial team at 9905 S. 13th Street, Oak Creek, WI 53154. This is a full-time, first-shift position with a pay rate of $16.50 per hour. Schedule details are provided upon interview.
Responsibilities
- Collect and dispose of trash according to approved procedures and infection control plans.
- Dust and damp mop floors according to approved procedures.
- Move equipment and furniture to clean properly, then return furniture to its correct placement.
- Clean assigned areas using assigned materials and equipment, and sanitize all surfaces.
- Follow the eight-step cleaning procedure.
- Wash walls, windows, furniture, baseboards, and other items to maintain a clean and safe environment for patients, visitors, and staff.
- Identify areas requiring cleaning and take initiative to complete the work.
- Complete tasks assigned by the supervisor.
- Perform tasks in accordance with federal, state, and county guidelines.
- Strip, scrub, buff, and refinish floors; shampoo carpets.
- Contribute to the team and exhibit professionalism with customers, fellow employees, and others.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
