About The Position

Janco, Inc. is hiring a full-time, hourly Janitor for an on-site first-shift position. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 5:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. The role is responsible for cleaning and maintaining rooms, hallways, restrooms, offices, windows, refrigerators, and other facility areas; safely operating and sanitizing equipment; collecting and compacting trash; unlocking the building in the morning; and performing light snow removal or spreading salt near entrances. The Janitor follows health, sanitation, safety, and company procedures, reports low supply inventory to the department manager, and performs other related duties as assigned. The position requires clear communication, organizational skills, attention to detail, a good work ethic, and a positive attitude. Physical requirements include lifting up to 45 pounds, walking and standing for extended periods, bending, reaching, full range of motion, and the ability to access and navigate all facility areas. Responsibilities

Clean rooms, hallways, restrooms, offices, and windows.
Sweep and vacuum; remove debris; clean spills; and mop floors.
Clean windows and mirrored surfaces, and dust and polish surfaces.
Maintain the cleanliness of restrooms and refrigerators.
Operate and sanitize equipment safely and properly.
Follow applicable health and sanitation procedures and safe work practices.
Collect and compact trash.
Unlock the building in the morning.
Perform light snow removal and spread salt near entrances.
Apply safety precautions when using chemical cleaners and working around powered machinery and heavy equipment.
Report low inventory of supplies to the department manager.
Adhere to company policies and procedures.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
