About The Position

This position is responsible for cleaning and maintaining buildings and grounds to ensure they remain neat and clean on a daily basis. Duties include cleaning bathrooms, floors, windows, furniture, fixtures, kitchen and dining areas; stocking and sorting pantry items; and washing, folding, and storing laundry and linens. Work is performed in a normal office environment, with some exposure to outdoor temperatures, dirt and dust, and/or disagreeable sights and odors.

Requirements

• Meet attendance requirements.
• Read and communicate in English.
• Exert the physical energy required to perform housekeeping and minor maintenance work.
• Perform continuous walking, stooping, standing, and climbing.
• No formal education or experience is required; alternatively, six months of experience performing general housekeeping duties, or an equivalent combination of training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
• No license or certification required.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize bathrooms, including sinks and toilets; polish mirrors and replenish supplies.
• Sweep, vacuum, mop, and wax floors; sweep sidewalks.
• Clean windows and dust and polish furniture and fixtures.
• Clean the kitchen and dining area; wash dishes; clean and defrost the refrigerator; clean stoves and ovens.
• Stock and sort pantry items.
• Wash, fold, and store laundry and linens.
