About The Position

The Custodian is responsible for performing routine custodial duties in an assigned school or facility to ensure a clean, safe, and sanitary environment. This includes cleaning and sanitizing restrooms, classrooms, offices, and other areas; emptying trash and recycling; sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors; and performing minor maintenance tasks as needed. The Custodian will also be responsible for responding to emergency cleaning situations and ensuring that all cleaning supplies and equipment are properly stored and maintained.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to perform routine custodial duties.
• Ability to operate cleaning equipment.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Must be able to pass a background check.

Nice To Haves

• Previous custodial experience.
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and safety procedures.
