About The Position

This position is responsible for performing a variety of cleaning and maintenance tasks to ensure the school facilities are clean, safe, and well-maintained. The role involves general cleaning, trash removal, floor care, and reporting any maintenance issues. The position is currently a 7-hour evening job and will convert to a 12-month, 5-hour position effective July 1, 2026.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions.
• Knowledge of cleaning methods and the use of cleaning equipment and supplies.
• Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
• Must be able to work evenings.
• Must be able to upload all required documents as listed in the job description.

Nice To Haves

• Previous custodial or janitorial experience.
• Knowledge of safety procedures related to cleaning chemicals and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting.
• Empty trash receptacles and remove refuse to designated areas.
• Clean and sanitize restrooms, including toilets, sinks, and floors.
• Wash windows and interior glass surfaces.
• Maintain cleanliness of floors, including waxing and polishing as needed.
• Report any maintenance or repair needs to the supervisor.
• Ensure all cleaning supplies and equipment are properly stored and maintained.
• Follow safety procedures and guidelines for the use of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
