About The Position

The Custodian is responsible for performing routine cleaning and maintenance tasks in assigned areas to ensure a safe, sanitary, and attractive environment for students, staff, and visitors. This role involves a variety of duties to maintain the cleanliness and orderliness of school facilities.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED equivalent.
Ability to perform physical tasks associated with custodial work, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
Knowledge of cleaning methods and materials.
Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Must complete the entire three (3) year work history in the "Experience and Credentials" section of the application, including periods of unemployment, schooling, and volunteer work.
Required documents for the job must be attached at the time of application.

Previous custodial or janitorial experience.

Responsibilities

Perform routine cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming assigned areas.
Clean and sanitize restrooms, including toilets, sinks, and floors.
Empty trash receptacles and replace liners.
Clean windows, doors, and other surfaces.
Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the supervisor.
Assist with minor repairs as needed.
Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment.
Follow established safety procedures and guidelines.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
