About The Position

The Custodian is responsible for performing routine cleaning and maintenance tasks in assigned areas of the school to ensure a safe, sanitary, and attractive environment for students, staff, and visitors. This role involves a variety of duties to maintain the cleanliness and orderliness of school facilities.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Ability to perform physical tasks associated with cleaning and maintenance.
• Knowledge of cleaning methods and materials.
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.
• Must be able to complete a three (3) year work history including periods of unemployment, schooling and volunteer work on the application.
• Required documents for the job must be attached at the time of application.

Responsibilities

• Perform cleaning duties such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting assigned areas.
• Clean and sanitize restrooms, including toilets, sinks, and floors.
• Empty trash receptacles and replace liners.
• Clean windows, doors, and walls.
• Perform minor maintenance tasks as needed, such as changing light bulbs.
• Report any maintenance or repair needs to the supervisor.
• Ensure that cleaning supplies and equipment are properly stored and maintained.
• Follow all safety regulations and procedures.
• Assist with setting up and cleaning up for school events as needed.
