About The Position

GRBS is hiring custodians to clean public school facilities in Portland Public Schools. Part-time and full-time opportunities are available, with listed shifts between 3:00 p.m. and 11:30 p.m. The schedule is Monday through Friday, with one scheduled weekend per month. Pay is $15.50–$17.00 per hour.

Custodians serve school customers by completing routine cleaning tasks, following GRBS processes and building-specific maps, communicating respectfully, and reliably completing assigned work. Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must have valid identification.
• Must have reliable transportation to and from work each day.
• Must have a positive attitude, be a team player, be customer-service focused, dependable, self-motivated, hardworking, and reliable.
• Individuals with theft-, violence-, or drug-related backgrounds do not qualify for employment due to Michigan Public School requirements.

Responsibilities

• Report to work consistently.
• Follow GRBS processes.
• Communicate mindfully and respectfully with everyone.
• Complete the job according to the building map and shift.
• Vacuum, mop, dust, clean restrooms, and remove trash.
• Perform other cleaning tasks as assigned.
