About The Position

GRBS is hiring a full-time Custodian Supervisor for Portage Public Schools. The position works Monday through Friday, with one scheduled weekend per month, from 2:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m., for 40 hours per week. Pay is $18.25 per hour. The supervisor leads custodial team members and helps ensure the school building is cleaned to specifications and secured. The work also includes performing custodial tasks such as vacuuming, mopping, dusting, cleaning restrooms, and removing trash, along with other assigned cleaning tasks. Applicants must be at least 18 years old, have valid ID, and have reliable transportation. Leadership experience is required. Due to Michigan public school requirements, applicants with theft-, violence-, or drug-related backgrounds will not qualify for employment. Responsibilities

Clean the building according to maps and specifications and secure the building.
Communicate with customers.
Train, lead, manage, and hold team members accountable.
Lead with integrity and humility and serve team members.
Complete building walkdowns.
Conduct nightly perimeter door checks.
Vacuum, mop, dust, clean restrooms, remove trash, and perform other assigned cleaning tasks.
