About The Position

GRBS is hiring a full-time second-shift Custodian for Okemos Public Schools. The position serves public school customers by cleaning assigned areas according to the building map and shift requirements. Work is Monday through Friday, with one weekend per month, from 3:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. The role offers paid mileage reimbursement and travel time. Candidates must provide valid proof of auto insurance. Due to Michigan public school requirements, applicants with theft-, violence-, or drug-related backgrounds will not qualify for employment.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must have valid identification.
• Leadership experience is required.
• Must have a positive attitude, be a team player, and be customer-service focused.
• Must be dependable, self-motivated, hardworking, and reliable.
• Must have reliable transportation to and from work each day.
• Must provide valid proof of auto insurance.
• Applicants with theft-, violence-, or drug-related backgrounds do not qualify under Michigan public school requirements.

Responsibilities

• Attend work consistently.
• Follow GRBS processes.
• Communicate mindfully and respectfully with everyone.
• Complete assigned work according to the building map and shift requirements.
• Vacuum, mop, and dust.
• Clean restrooms.
• Remove trash.
• Complete other cleaning tasks as assigned.
