About The Position
Walmart Central Fill Pharmacy is a specialized pharmacy that processes and dispenses prescriptions for multiple retail pharmacy locations in a region. Its automated operations help retail pharmacies devote more time to clinical services and community education. Walmart is hiring a full-time, second-shift Custodian to support operations at its Central Fill Pharmacy in Springfield, Missouri. The role consistently works the evening shift, with hours that may vary according to business needs. The Custodian supports facility operations and maintains clean, sanitary spaces in accordance with company procedures and applicable regulations. The position also follows company policies and standards of ethics and integrity, and completes assigned work by coordinating with managers, coworkers, customers, and business partners.
Requirements
- 1–3 years of custodial background.
Nice To Haves
- Custodial services or related field experience.
- Experience driving large trucks.
- Ability to speak both English and Spanish.
- Valid driver's license or eligibility to obtain one.
Responsibilities
- Set up rooms for special events.
- Perform minor maintenance and repair activities.
- Collect and transport recyclables.
- Disassemble and clean drug dispensers.
- Report facility issues, such as roof leaks and power outages, to management.
- Maintain clean and sanitary offices, restrooms, conference rooms, lobbies, elevators, parking lots, and other facility areas according to safety procedures, company guidelines, and applicable laws and regulations.
- Wear personal protective equipment and perform cleaning tasks including emptying waste and recycling bins, dusting, sweeping, wet mopping, stripping and waxing floors, cleaning and sanitizing bathrooms and showers, vacuuming and spot-cleaning carpets, and cleaning electronic devices, windows, air conditioner ducts, and ceiling tiles.
- Identify and respond to additional cleaning needs.
- Follow company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity, including implementing related action plans and using the Open Door Policy.
- Complete work assignments and priorities by using policies, data, and resources; collaborating with relevant partners; identifying priorities, deadlines, and expectations; carrying out tasks; communicating progress; recommending ways to address improvement opportunities; and adapting to change, difficulties, and feedback.
