About The Position

The Custodian I cleans and maintains public areas such as hallways, lobbies, stairways, and locker rooms. The role also delivers and retrieves rollaway beds, irons, ironing boards, and other items for guest rooms; maintains assigned areas; removes trash and debris; and performs property cleanup, including cleanup involving bio-chemical material. The custodian stocks linen supplies in linen closets, loads and unloads linen carts, and ensures preventative care of equipment and supplies. Other duties may be assigned by management.

Requirements

• Meet the minimum age requirement of 18 or 21, depending on the property.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods for the majority of the shift.
• Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 100 pounds.

Nice To Haves

• At least one year of cleaning experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain public areas, including hallways, lobbies, stairways, and locker rooms.
• Deliver and retrieve rollaway beds, irons, ironing boards, and other items to and from guest rooms.
• Maintain cleanliness of assigned areas and pick up and remove trash and debris.
• Clean up the property, including bio-chemical material.
• Stock linen supplies in linen closets and load and unload linen carts.
• Ensure preventative care of equipment and supplies.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
