About The Position

Clay County is seeking a dependable and hardworking part-time Custodian I to help maintain County buildings, offices, facilities, vehicles, and grounds in a clean, safe, and sanitary condition. The position is scheduled Monday through Friday for a four-hour shift between 5:00 pm and 1:30 am. The hourly salary is $18.08.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to safely operate a motor vehicle.
• Ability to perform the physical duties associated with custodial work.
• Ability to work independently and follow established safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine cleaning, including vacuuming, mopping, dusting, and restroom sanitation.
• Empty trash and restock custodial supplies.
• Clean offices, courtrooms, common areas, windows, and fixtures.
• Operate custodial equipment and maintain cleaning supplies.
• Assist with grounds upkeep and snow removal as needed.
• Secure County buildings by locking and unlocking doors and managing lights.
• Complete special cleaning and maintenance projects as assigned.
