About The Position
The Custodian/GA performs janitorial functions, including cleaning and minor maintenance, at facilities owned or contracted by the Community Mental Health Authority of Clinton, Eaton and Ingham counties (CMHA-CEI). The position works under the supervision of a Property and Facilities Coordinator or Supervisor and takes day-to-day direction from the Head Custodian. The employee carries out program and subunit activities in a manner that supports CMHA-CEI’s mission, policies, and procedures. The position is based at Property and Facilities, 812 E. Jolly Rd, Lansing, Michigan. The scheduled hours are Monday through Friday, 4:00 PM to 12:00 AM. The stated pay range is $15.58–$17.45 per hour, with shift incentives specified for certain hours and weekend work. Employment is contingent on passing a Michigan State Police clearance check, a pre-employment five-panel drug screen, and a pre-employment physical. Requirements
- Must be physically able to perform repetitive lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Must be physically able to operate janitorial equipment, such as floor scrubbers and vacuum cleaners.
- May be required to have access to reliable transportation for job-related use.
- Must pass a Michigan State Police clearance check.
- Must pass a pre-employment five-panel drug screen.
- Must pass a pre-employment physical.
