About The Position

Responsible for maintaining a clean and organized store environment, with a focus on floor care. The role includes operating floor-care equipment and cleaning floors, glass, and windows. The associate also upholds operational, merchandise, loss-prevention, health, safety, cleanliness, and recovery standards; supports customer experience practices; and may be cross-trained to work in multiple store areas to meet business needs.

Responsibilities

• Operate the scrubber and buffer and maintain floor-care cleanliness standards.
• Dust mop, damp mop, sweep, vacuum, dust, and spot-clean glass and windows.
• Maintain organizational, cleanliness, and recovery standards throughout the store, including the sales floor, queue, associate lounge, backroom, and restrooms.
• Follow company health and safety policies, including refilling essential items in the lounge, restrooms, and front end.
• Cross-train and work in other store areas, such as the backroom, front end, and sales floor.
• Support and respond to front-end coverage needs.
• Follow merchandising philosophy and signage standards.
• Initiate and participate in store recovery throughout the day as needed.
• Follow operational and loss-prevention controls and company policies, including shrink-reduction practices.
• Communicate accurately and effectively with management and associates.
• Follow labor laws and company policies and procedures, including meal and break-period policies.
• Participate in safety awareness and maintain a safe environment.
• Model customer-experience practices and support a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
