About The Position

The Custodial Associate maintains a clean, organized, and safe store environment, with a focus on floor care. The role includes operating floor-care equipment and cleaning and maintaining sales and non-sales areas throughout the store. The associate follows operational, merchandising, loss-prevention, health, and safety standards and may be cross-trained to work in other store areas to support business needs. The role also involves supporting customer experience practices, store recovery, and Front End coverage as needed.

Physical stamina to perform cleaning tasks and operate a floor buffer and scrubber.

Ability to work effectively with peers and supervisors.

Responsibilities

Maintain floor-care cleanliness standards, including operating and maintaining the scrubber and buffer.
Dust mop, damp mop, sweep, vacuum, dust, and spot-clean glass and windows.
Maintain cleanliness, organization, and recovery standards throughout the store, including the Sales Floor, Single Queue, Associate Lounge, Backroom, and Restrooms.
Follow company Health and Safety policies, including refilling essential items in the Lounge, Restrooms, and Front End.
Cross-train and work in other store areas, including the Backroom, Front End, and Sales Floor.
Support and respond to Front End coverage needs.
Follow merchandising philosophy and signage standards.
Initiate and participate in store recovery throughout the day as needed.
Follow operational and loss-prevention controls, including shrink-reduction policies and guidelines.
Communicate accurately and effectively with management and Associates.
Follow labor laws and company policies and procedures, including meal and break-period policies.
Participate in safety awareness and maintain a safe environment.
Model established customer-experience practices and support a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect.
Perform other duties as assigned.
