About The Position
Delaware North Sportservice is hiring seasonal Culinary Supervisors to work at Little Caesars Arena in Detroit, Michigan. The role is suited to an experienced Cook who enjoys a collaborative, fast-paced environment and takes pride in delivering excellent food service and culinary experiences. Delaware North provides food, beverage, and retail services at the 20,000-seat arena, including concessions and premium dining in club areas, loge boxes, and suites. The arena is home to the NHL's Detroit Red Wings and the NBA's Detroit Pistons.
Requirements
- At least two years of experience as a line cook, including supervisory experience.
- Ability to communicate effectively and lead in a fast-paced environment.
- Attentive and detail-oriented.
- Basic math skills and ability to understand, calculate, and follow recipe measurements and proportions.
- Ability to chop, mix, blend, and whip a variety of foods and liquids.
- Ability to lift and carry pans weighing up to 35 pounds.
- Ability to stand and walk for the entire shift.
Responsibilities
- Supervise team members and ensure food preparation and production meet quality standards.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of walk-ins and freezers, and ensure kitchen equipment is in working order.
- Train new Cooks and Dishwashers as needed.
- Supervise proper food breakdown, rotation, labeling, dating, and storage.
- Perform opening, closing, and side work duties.
- Help maintain food costs within parameters set by culinary leadership.
- Partner with team members and restaurant managers to satisfy guests.
