About The Position

Delaware North Sportservice is seeking a seasonal Catering Supervisor to work at Little Caesars Arena in Detroit, Michigan. Under the direction of the department manager, the Catering Supervisor helps ensure effective operations across event spaces, including by training and supervising catering team members. Delaware North provides food, beverage, and retail services at Little Caesars Arena, a 20,000-seat venue that opened in 2017 and is home to the Detroit Red Wings and Detroit Pistons. Services include concessions and premium dining in club areas, loge boxes, and suites.

Requirements

At least six months of experience in a hotel, full-service restaurant, catering facility, or club environment.
Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and leadership skills.
Ability to work accurately, efficiently, and courteously in a high-pressure environment.
Ability to communicate effectively with guests and retain and communicate menu information and service preferences.
No college degree is required.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds for setup, service, and cleanup.
Ability to stand and walk for an entire shift, including using stairs and lifting as required by duties.
May be required to work in confined or narrow spaces.

Responsibilities

Train and supervise catering team members.
Ensure food preparation, presentation, and service meet company standards.
Assist with event setup and breakdown.
Ensure responsible alcohol service and report violations.
Answer guest questions and resolve guest complaints.
Keep workstations, pantries, and storerooms clean and sufficiently stocked.
