About The Position

Baptist Health is seeking a CT Technologist to join the CT Scan Department at Baptist South in Jacksonville, Florida. This PRN position has varied shifts. CT Technologists deliver high-quality imaging services while ensuring patients’ comfort and safety in a collaborative environment. The role includes operating and calibrating GE equipment, preparing and positioning patients for procedures, administering IV contrast, explaining the procedure to patients, and complying with regulatory standards.

Requirements

Vocational school education or an associate's degree.
Registered Technologist in Radiography (ARRT (R)) required.
Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT) required.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
If hired, must pass ARRT certification in Computed Tomography within 12 months of the hire date.

Nice To Haves

1–2 years of radiology experience preferred.
Experience working in a hospital setting preferred.
Customer service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Perform high-quality CT procedures according to established protocols and guidelines.
Prepare and position patients for imaging procedures.
Monitor patients’ vital signs and comfort during exams.
Operate CT equipment and ensure its proper maintenance.
Collaborate with radiologists to provide optimal imaging results.
Maintain accurate records and documentation of procedures.
Adhere to safety protocols and radiation safety standards.
Educate patients about the CT process and answer their questions.
Administer IV contrast and calibrate GE equipment.
Comply with regulatory standards.
