About The Position

Baptist Health is seeking a CT Technologist for its CT Department at Baptist South in Jacksonville, Florida. This is a PRN position with varied shifts. The technologist provides high-quality imaging services while supporting patient comfort and safety in a collaborative environment. Duties include operating and calibrating GE equipment, preparing patients for procedures, administering IV contrast, positioning patients, explaining procedures and educating patients, and complying with regulatory standards. The role also requires passing ARRT Computed Tomography certification within 12 months of hire.

Requirements

Vocational school education or an associate's degree.
Registered Technologist in Radiography (ARRT (R)) required.
Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT) required.
Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
Must pass ARRT certification in Computed Tomography within 12 months of hire.
Positions designated as requiring Level II background screening require fingerprint-based state and national criminal-history screening as a condition of employment and continued employment.

Nice To Haves

1–2 years of radiology experience preferred.
Hospital-setting experience preferred.
Customer service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Perform high-quality CT procedures in accordance with established protocols and guidelines.
Prepare and position patients for imaging procedures.
Monitor patient vital signs and comfort during exams.
Operate CT equipment and ensure proper maintenance.
Collaborate with radiologists to provide optimal imaging results.
Maintain accurate records and documentation of procedures.
Adhere to safety protocols and radiation safety standards.
Educate patients about the CT process and answer their questions.
Administer IV contrast and explain procedures to patients.
Operate and calibrate GE equipment.
Comply with regulatory standards.
