About The Position

Baptist Health is seeking a CT Technologist to join the CT Scan Department at Baptist South in Jacksonville, Florida. This full-time days position is scheduled Saturday through Monday, 7:30 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. The technologist performs high-quality imaging while supporting patient comfort and safety in a collaborative environment. Duties include operating and calibrating GE equipment, preparing and positioning patients, administering IV contrast, explaining procedures to patients, and meeting regulatory and radiation-safety standards.

Requirements

Vocational school education or an associate's degree.
Registered Technologist in Radiography (ARRT (R)) certification required.
Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT) credential required.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
Must pass ARRT Computed Tomography certification within 12 months of hire.

Nice To Haves

1–2 years of radiology experience preferred.
Hospital-setting experience preferred.
Customer service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Perform high-quality CT procedures according to established protocols and guidelines.
Prepare and position patients for imaging procedures.
Administer IV contrast as needed.
Monitor patients’ vital signs and comfort during exams.
Operate and maintain CT equipment, including calibrating GE equipment.
Collaborate with radiologists to provide optimal imaging results.
Maintain accurate records and documentation of procedures.
Follow regulatory, safety, and radiation-safety standards.
Explain the CT process to patients, provide education, and answer questions.
