About The Position
This 16-week travel assignment involves operating CT equipment and performing additional imaging procedures as needed. The position is in a hospital imaging setting and is represented by OFNHP.
Requirements
- Active licensure to perform radiologic procedures as required by state regulations
- Certification in CT imaging (ARRT CT) or equivalent as applicable
- Completion of an accredited radiologic technology program
- Ability to work 12-hour day shifts in a hospital imaging environment
- Willingness to travel and accept a travel assignment
- Strong patient care standards and commitment to radiation safety practices
Responsibilities
- Operate computed tomography (CT) equipment to produce cross-sectional images used for diagnosis.
- Perform imaging procedures not limited to CT, including general radiography and fluoroscopy as required.
- Properly position patients, explain procedures, ensure comfort, and maintain patient safety.
- Monitor and optimize image quality; apply dose-reduction techniques in line with ALARA principles.
- Prepare, administer (when appropriate), and document contrast media as per protocol; monitor patient response.
- Maintain equipment and image quality records; collaborate with radiologists and clinical staff; ensure accurate labeling and storage of images.
