About The Position

This is a travel assignment for a CT Technologist (CT Tech) in Rochester, New York. The contract is for 13 weeks, starting on 09/21/2026. The role involves performing CT imaging, coordinating with physicians, preparing patients, and maintaining accurate records. The position requires flexibility for on-call duties and holiday coverage.

Requirements

• Completion of formal training in an approved School of Radiologic Technology
• ARRT certification
• NYS licensure required prior to starting
• Injection therapy certification stated on license
• BLS (American Heart Association)
• Two (2) years of CT experience
• Level I Trauma Center experience strongly preferred
• Telemetry experience as applicable
• Knowledge of Philips and Siemens CT systems preferred
• Ability to work in a fast-paced travel assignment
• Epic experience highly desired

Responsibilities

• Verify patient identity and exam verification prior to initiating the scan; follow department safety policies and procedures for patient safety.
• Coordinate with physicians to provide diagnostic imaging and ensure exam accuracy.
• Prepare patients for scans and explain procedures to help them feel comfortable; insert IVs when necessary for the test.
• Position patients appropriately, utilizing safe patient handling; assist with lifting or moving patients with limited mobility.
• Perform CT imaging using appropriate protocols; familiarity with Philips and Siemens equipment preferred.
• Maintain accurate patient records (EPIC) and ensure images are correctly sent to the PACS system upon exam completion.
• Maintain a clean and safe scanning facility; adhere to infection control and safety standards.
• Participate in on-call coverage as required (2–3 call shifts per month) and provide coverage during holidays per unit needs.
