About The Position

This role is responsible for preparing and handling food, with food safety and quality as the highest priorities. The employee is expected to maintain high standards of cleanliness and customer service, be clean and well-groomed, and follow all food-preparation guidelines and standards. Extensive training is provided. The position is described as an opportunity to contribute to the Oasis team and potentially pursue career growth within the company.

Requirements

Must be at least 19 years of age.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Self-motivated and able to complete tasks without constant direction.
Able to occasionally lift 50 pounds up to waist level and frequently lift up to 25 pounds to chest level or above.
Must be in physically good shape and able to stand for the entire work shift.

Responsibilities

Provide fast, efficient, and friendly customer service; greet and thank customers and resolve customer concerns.
Report to work on time and follow uniform policies.
Follow food safety standards and requirements and immediately notify a supervisor of concerns.
Prepare hot and cold food items according to standards.
As needed, prepare, package, and label food for distribution to multiple locations.
Ensure food products are fresh and of good quality.
Frequently check the temperatures of hot and cold foods to verify they are safe to serve.
Maintain cleanliness of preparation surfaces, kitchen smallwares, and equipment.
Check in vendor deliveries and confirm all invoiced products are received.
Complete and submit daily paperwork.
Attend store team meetings and contribute concerns and ideas.
Be flexible with changes, including rotating or exchanged shifts and extra hours during emergencies.
Know and follow company policies.
Follow safety and security guidelines in the safety manual and report incidents to the Store Manager immediately.
Treat customers, coworkers, and vendors with dignity and respect.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Store Manager.
Maintain a positive attitude.
