This position is for a Cross-Border Northeast U.S. Short-Haul Owner-Operator. The role primarily involves running Canada/U.S. short-haul routes in Quebec, Ontario, and the Northeast U.S. The lanes include Maryland, Pennsylvania, New York, Vermont, Maine, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Connecticut, Virginia, West Virginia, and Delaware. Destinations may vary, and drivers must be willing to drive in all provinces and states to support varying customer and freight requirements. Drivers can expect to be on the road for an average of 5-7 days at a time, with approximately 85% of miles being U.S. miles. Drivers are not required to haul into New York City. The ability to pull refrigerated freight is a plus. Areas of operation may vary, and regional freight might be required on occasion. The average weekly mileage is 2,300 miles. Drivers will have access to a professional support team for trip planning.
