Requirements

Owner-Operator with 24 months tractor-trailer experience
Tractor must be equipped with a DEF system
Must be U.S. qualified
Must have a minimum of 6 months U.S. driving experience
Must have a minimum of 6 months B.C. mountain experience
Must be able to work weekends
Must have a valid Class 1/AZ License
Must be able to lift 50 lbs. or more
Reliable, flexible, and punctual
Strong communication skills
Values safety
Registered with the Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse

Responsibilities

Be on the road 7 to 10 days at a time
Average 10,000 miles per month
Available for dispatch 24 days a month
Resets on the road as required
Running open-board, Canada/U.S. long-haul
Running primarily in British Columbia, Alberta, Western U.S., Pacific Northwest U.S., and Central U.S.
Southbound freight could depart from any of our Bison locations into any of the lower 48 states
Freight and Destinations will vary based on operational requirements
Required to drive in B.C. including Highway 1 and Highway 3, 12 months a year
Additional work might be available upon request
Flexible schedules requiring weekend departures
Regional freight will be required
Must be able to haul all commodities including meat and alcohol
Must be able to lift 50 lbs. or more
Driver assist is required on occasion
