About The Position

Shero Commerce is hiring a full-time, salaried CRO Specialist to own conversion rate optimization across its Shopify client portfolio. This is a hands-on role focused on analyzing data, identifying opportunities to improve revenue, and turning findings into hypotheses, wireframes, roadmaps, and tests. The specialist will audit stores across the buying journey, lead evidence-led improvements, and connect marketing, design, and development teams. The role is remote-first and US-based, with consistent overlap with US business hours and occasional client visits. The position initially focuses on hands-on specialist work. As the CRO client base and retainer hours grow, the specialist may develop commercial and leadership skills, help shape the CRO practice, identify opportunities to expand services, support recommendations and proposals, develop processes, and share knowledge with future team members. Greater team leadership may be possible over time. Shero Commerce is an ecommerce agency that helps brands grow on Shopify through strategy, design, development, and digital marketing. Its marketing team covers PPC, SEO, CRO, organic social, and email, working alongside design and development teams on client accounts. Shero describes its culture as collaborative, supportive, growth-oriented, and committed to inclusion and equal opportunity.

  • A track record of audits leading to tests and tests producing measurable revenue gains.
  • Ability to create clear wireframes in Figma or a similar tool.
  • Solid understanding of test statistics, including significance, sample size, and when to call a test.
  • Clear written and verbal communication with technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Comfort using AI tools such as Claude to accelerate analysis, audits, and test documentation.
  • Ability to work remotely with consistent overlap with US business hours.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Google Tag Manager and event-tracking setup.
  • Background in UX research, user testing, or survey tools.
  • Experience with pricing, offer, and shipping-threshold tests.
  • Familiarity with digital marketing channels and how they affect onsite conversion.

Responsibilities

  • Create high-level wireframes and annotated concepts that explain proposed changes and their rationale.
  • Prepare briefs for designers and developers so tests can progress from idea to launch without rework.
  • Own a prioritized CRO roadmap for each client and assess traffic and data quality to determine whether A/B testing is viable.
  • For lower-traffic stores, use customer research and other evidence to recommend improvements, distinguishing tested results from directional findings.
  • Set up, quality-assure, and launch A/B and multivariate tests across testing platforms.
  • Define primary, secondary, and guardrail metrics, sample size, and test duration before launching tests.
  • Analyze test results with statistical rigor, document learnings, and use them to inform subsequent tests.

  • Collaborate with design, solutions, and development teams to turn recommendations into feasible customer experiences.
  • Identify tracking and measurement issues, and work with the Marketing Technology Engineer to validate data, resolve issues, and ensure reliable test results.
  • Present findings and test results clearly and confidently to clients and leadership, including through occasional on-site client visits.
  • Contribute to team meetings and share wins and learnings across Shero teams.
  • Identify opportunities to expand CRO support for existing clients and introduce CRO services to clients who do not currently use them.
  • Partner with account and sales teams on recommendations and proposals, with guidance from the wider team.
  • As demand grows, help develop CRO processes and share knowledge with future team members.
