About The Position

The Crew Foreman - Wet Utilities performs and oversees wet utility construction work, including excavation and installation of water, sanitary sewer, and storm sewer utilities. The foreman manages quality control and production, ensures safe and proper excavation and compaction, maintains equipment, and trains team members hands-on as needed. The role is full-time, non-exempt, reports to superintendents and project managers, and is based at job sites. The schedule is Monday through Friday.

Requirements

At least 1 year of wet utility experience.
Ability to communicate directly with clients.
Ability to operate large excavators with precision.
Valid driver's license.
Ability to work in confined spaces.
Ability to access secured facilities.
High attention to detail.
Physical fitness to perform job duties in varied environments and conditions, including lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling up to 50 pounds.
Ability to sit, stand, use hands and fingers, handle or feel, and communicate verbally and listen.
Ability to walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, or crawl.
Distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Responsibilities

Excavate trenches for water, sanitary sewer, and storm sewer.
Install trench boxes as necessary.
Operate equipment in compliance with company safety policies and OSHA procedures.
Ensure proper excavation and compaction procedures are performed.
Maintain equipment by conducting daily inspections and greasing equipment at required intervals.
Demonstrate working knowledge of underground utilities.
Perform other related duties as required to complete the job.
Manage quality control and production.
Train team members hands-on as needed.
