About The Position

The Crew Foreman - Wet Utilities performs and oversees wet utility construction work involving water, sanitary sewer, and storm sewer systems. The role includes trench excavation, installation of trench boxes when needed, operation and maintenance of equipment, and ensuring proper excavation and compaction procedures. The foreman manages quality control and production and provides hands-on training to team members. The position is full-time and non-exempt, with job-site reporting and a Monday–Friday schedule. It reports to Superintendents and Project Managers.

Requirements

At least 1 year of wet utility experience.
Ability to operate large excavators with precision.
Valid driver's license.
Ability to work in confined spaces.
Ability to access secured facilities.
Ability to communicate directly with clients.
High attention to detail.
Physical fitness to perform job duties in varied environments and conditions, including lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling up to 50 pounds.
Ability to walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, or crawl; regularly sit and stand; use hands and fingers to handle or feel; and verbally communicate and listen.
Required vision abilities include distance, color, peripheral, and depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Responsibilities

Excavate trenches for water, sanitary sewer, and storm sewer.
Install trench boxes as necessary.
Operate equipment in compliance with company safety policies and OSHA procedures.
Ensure proper excavation and compaction procedures are performed.
Maintain equipment by conducting daily inspections and greasing equipment at required intervals.
Demonstrate working knowledge of underground utilities.
Perform other related duties and responsibilities as required to complete the job.
Manage quality control and production.
Train team members as needed in a hands-on manner.
