About The Position

Kirby-Smith Machinery, Inc. is a leading distributor of heavy equipment and cranes in the central United States. The Credit & Collections Associate collects assigned receivables, researches customer issues, reviews credit holds, assists with researching and setting up new accounts, and manages an assigned portfolio of accounts. The role requires consistent, reliable on-site attendance and involves supporting the company’s vision and core values. Other job-related duties may be assigned.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Two years of collections experience.
Exceptional interpersonal skills and excellent communication skills.
Ability to organize, plan, and complete tasks while managing a high volume of department paperwork.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) and various web-based applications.
Ability to move between offices and buildings, see, hear/listen, speak clearly, use dexterity in hands and fingers, sit for long periods, and work face-to-face and by phone with others.

Responsibilities

Collect receivables from assigned accounts.
Review invoices placed on credit hold.
Investigate and resolve customer issues.
Identify problem accounts and refer them to the Credit Manager.
Assist with researching, setting up, and recording new accounts.
Update customer account information as needed.
Process credit applications at a satisfactory rate.
Maintain consistent and reliable on-site attendance.
Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
