About The Position

THE·TEAM is hiring a Creative Technologist to join its social creative team supporting Gemini social and influencer marketing. The role sits at the intersection of design, engineering, and culture, translating ambitious creative ideas into working prototypes and experiences and helping communicate the possibilities of AI and social technology to creators and developers. The position calls for someone entrepreneurial and resourceful who is comfortable moving between creative and technical work, presenting to others, and working on ambitious timelines. The Creative Technologist will collaborate with strategists and creatives to rapidly prototype interactive concepts, technical proofs of concept, and social-first experiments. The role also supports creator partners producing Gemini-powered content through technical briefings, capability and workflow education, and review of partner concepts and content. The successful candidate will explore emerging AI/ML capabilities, including large language models, generative tools, and the Gemini API through Google AI Studio, and translate emerging technologies and social behaviors into creative opportunities. The role partners with Gemini Marketing to launch experiments and identify innovations that can be scaled. This is a temporary position through the end of 2026, with an option to renew at the end of the calendar year. The stated base salary range is $175,000–$200,000, with bonus potential if applicable. Actual base salary depends on factors including market dynamics, location, experience, specialized skills or training, responsibility, budget, and tenure for current employees.

Requirements

Fluency in one or more general-purpose programming languages: Python, JavaScript, Go, Java, Ruby, or PHP.
Hands-on experience building with the Google Gemini app, Antigravity, the Gemini API, and Google AI Studio, including prompt engineering and LLM-based application development.
Strong understanding of AI/ML concepts and generative tools, and how to apply them in creative and social contexts.
Experience building web and interactive experiences using three.js, WebGL, or comparable technologies.
Comfort working within Google Cloud Platform.
Proficiency with Git and collaborative development workflows.
Experience integrating APIs, including connecting services, webhooks, and third-party platforms.
Comfort presenting at and assisting with workshops at creator-focused events.

Nice To Haves

Experience running workshops, writing technical content, or engaging developer and creator communities.
Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and Acrobat Pro.
Background in copywriting, art direction, or filmmaking.
Experience with TypeScript, back-end development using Python, Node.js, or Go, AI technologies, hardware, interfaces, experimental UI, or server-side work with Google Cloud.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with strategists and creatives to brainstorm and rapidly build interactive prototypes, technical proofs of concept, and social-first experiments.
Assist with leading technical briefings for creator partners producing Gemini-powered content, educating them on capabilities, workflows, and new features.
Review partner concepts and content to identify high-impact, feasible use cases and help ensure high-quality execution.
Explore and implement developments in AI and machine learning, particularly large language models, generative tools, and the Gemini API via Google AI Studio, to inspire novel social experiences.
Monitor emerging technologies, social behaviors, and digital art, and translate relevant signals into actionable creative ideas for Android and Google Play.
Work with Gemini Marketing to launch experiments and identify partners who can scale successful innovations.
Help connect internal creative ideas with the broader developer and creator community through teaching, presenting, and evangelizing emerging AI and social possibilities.
