About The Position

barre3 is seeking a hands-on Creative Lead to guide the brand’s visual identity, storytelling, and performance creative as the company grows. The role balances elevated brand design with data-driven creative execution, translating customer insights into work that supports community growth and business results. The Creative Lead serves as the primary creative guide across consumer, digital, environmental, retail, and franchise touchpoints, and reports to the VP of Growth Marketing & Digital. The primary residence must be in the greater Portland area. The role partners closely with Growth Marketing to create and test performance assets across paid and owned channels, while also directing brand campaigns, retail and apparel creative, and studio experiences. It develops modular creative systems and an always-on testing pipeline, and equips franchise owners with practical local marketing toolkits and self-serve templates. The Creative Lead also manages and mentors a creative pod, improving workflows and coordinating with Product and Operations to maintain a cohesive brand experience.

  • Fluency in conversion design and mobile video trends.
  • Experience directing on-figure apparel shoots and translating physical retail products into digital and in-studio demand.
  • Ability to design intuitive, turnkey tools and templates that non-designers in a franchise network can implement.

  • Guide retail creative and direct seasonal product and lifestyle shoots for e-commerce and studio boutique use.
  • Partner with Growth Marketing to create high-converting creative for Meta, Google/YouTube, OTT, web landing pages, and CRM.
  • Design modular creative systems for rapid A/B testing, including variations in hooks, angles, typography, aspect ratios, and calls to action.
  • Architect and lead an always-on creative testing pipeline, partnering with Growth Marketing to ship and iterate creative on a predictable sprint cadence.
  • Direct video shoot lists, capture styles, and pacing for short- and long-form digital content.
  • Create local marketing toolkits, digital asset management libraries, and self-serve templates such as Canva or Figma resources for franchise studio owners.
  • Ensure local assets are easy and cost-effective for studio owners to deploy and support trial bookings and member retention.
  • Guide, mentor, and inspire in-house designers, videographers, copywriters, and freelance specialists.
  • Balance sprint capacity, improve brief-to-delivery workflows, and remove bottlenecks while maintaining quality.
  • Collaborate with Product and Operations to align visual and narrative experiences across classes, physical environments, digital apps, and brand experiences.
  • Deliver measurable improvements in performance creative, production cadence, retail conversion, franchise toolkit adoption, and brand consistency.
