About The Position

Dawes Rigging & Crane Rental is hiring a full-time, exempt Crane Rental Estimator & Outside Sales Representative for its Elk Mound, Wisconsin branch and surrounding area. The role involves marketing and sales, evaluating job sites and preparing professional quotes, managing customer interactions in a CRM, coordinating territory sales activity, and maintaining customer and sales records. The position includes occasional overnight travel in the area. Commission eligibility begins after an initial training period. Experienced crane operators interested in a career change are encouraged to apply. The position is offered in a casual business environment.

Requirements

• Customer-service orientation and good communication skills.
• Closing, territory management, prospecting, presentation, and negotiation skills.
• Self-confidence and motivation.
• Product knowledge and ability to maintain client relationships.
• Technology proficiency, including experience with Microsoft Office, CRM systems, and Apple products.
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable motor vehicle record (MVR).

Nice To Haves

• Crane or aerial rental experience.
• Construction equipment rental experience.
• Experience as a crane operator; experienced crane operators seeking a career change are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Market and sell services for the Elk Mound branch and surrounding area.
• Evaluate job sites to determine a safe, efficient, and effective way to perform the work, then provide customers with professional quotes.
• Record interactions with existing and potential customers in the CRM system daily.
• Coordinate sales efforts by studying existing and potential customer volume.
• Submit regular activity and results reports to management.
• Analyze marketplace information, including pricing, available products, and marketing and merchandising techniques.
• Recommend changes to products, services, or policies based on evaluations of competitive developments.
• Investigate customer complaints, develop solutions, and make recommendations to management to provide strong customer service.
• Maintain records of area and customer sales and provide historical reports.
• Maintain professional and technical knowledge through workshops, industry publications, and professional networking.
