Craft Training Manager

Nox Group•Reno, NV

About The Position

The Craft Training Manager is the regional operational and people leader of the Workforce Development (WFD) department. Reporting to the Director of Workforce Development, the manager leads a team of 3–8 Craft Trainers and WFD Specialists and is accountable for the quality, consistency, and impact of training delivery across regional projects. The role primarily supports and oversees trainers rather than directly training craft workers, connecting field execution with WFD strategy by translating leadership needs into practical jobsite training plans and relaying field insights to inform program decisions. The position oversees trainer development, project training plans and schedules, workforce data and reporting, regulatory and records compliance, and coordination with construction, safety, quality, and field operations teams. It may also provide direct field training coverage during trainer absences or periods of peak workload. Regular travel between project sites within the assigned region is required. This is a safety-sensitive position, and applicable drug testing and background check policies apply.

  • Provide direct field training coverage during trainer absences or peak workload periods.
  • Validate weekly trainer Versatility Matrix updates for completeness, scoring accuracy, and timely entry, and address late updates within the same week.

  • Facilitate the quarterly WFD department review of module updates, process improvements, and system refinements, managing the agenda, decisions, and follow-up actions.
  • Support development and testing of new training modules through the T3 process, maintain standardized training materials and documentation, and manage identified curriculum gaps through to resolution.
