About The Position

INNOVIM is seeking support for NOAA’s Office of Oceanic and Atmospheric Research (OAR) Climate Program Office (CPO) Atmospheric Chemistry, Carbon Cycle, and Climate (AC4) Office. The candidate will develop and coordinate grant funding competitions, monitor funded research projects, provide technical and organizational expertise, enhance engagement and partnerships, identify strategies for program effectiveness, initiate activities for collaborative efforts with other agencies, and provide expertise in program strategy and execution.

Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Develop and coordinate grant funding competitions by coordinating and facilitating the proposal review process (mail review and panel review), and monitor funded research projects’ progress by collecting, reviewing, and archiving progress reports.
  • Coordinate, arrange, and track the disbursement of honoraria.
  • Track and administer funded research projects by maintaining comprehensive and accurate records.
  • Provide technical and organizational expertise and engage with program leads in the development of program research priorities.
  • Submit meeting agendas and meeting minutes for each engagement.
  • Enhance ESSM’s engagement and partnerships with other CPO programs, including via developing and advancing research priorities and collaborations, within OAR and across other NOAA Line Offices.
  • Identify and develop strategies for program effectiveness, including management of projects and task forces.
  • Initiate activities and plans for collaborative efforts with other agencies.
  • Provide expertise in program strategy and execution, including understanding program policy landscape, formulating research initiatives, and executing research initiatives.
